Our Terms of Service
These are the rules of the road for how we work together. We've tried to make them as clear and easy to understand as possible, just like our advice. By using our services, you're agreeing to these terms. It's about being fair to everyone.
About These Terms
Right, let's get down to it. These Terms of Service (we'll just call them 'the Terms') explain how you can use the services from Coventry Portfolio Guides, and what we both expect from each other. Think of it as a clear understanding so we can get on with helping you sort your money. When you work with us, or use our website, you're saying you're happy with these rules.
Who We Are and What We Do
We're Coventry Portfolio Guides, based here at 19 High St, Coventry CV1 5RE, UK. Our main job is to give you practical advice on tidying up your investment portfolio and finding legal ways to reduce your tax bill. We'll look at your current assets and suggest ways to make them work better for you, always with an eye on saving you a few quid on tax.
What You Need to Do (Your Part)
To make sure we can give you the best advice, we need you to do a few things:
- Be Honest: Give us full and accurate information about your financial situation, investments, and goals. We can only help properly if we have the full picture.
- Listen Up: Read and understand the advice we give you. If something isn't clear, ask us.
- Your Call: Remember, our advice is just that – advice. The final decision on what to do with your money is always yours. We don't manage your investments directly.
- Keep Us Posted: If your situation changes (like your goals or how much money you have), tell us straight away.
Our Services and What to Expect
We offer services like reviewing your portfolio, suggesting rebalancing strategies, and identifying tax optimisation opportunities. We'll agree on what services you're getting upfront. We aim to give clear, easy-to-understand guidance. But remember, investment values can go up and down, and past performance doesn't mean future gains. We can't promise specific results, only that we'll give you our best, honest advice.
Fees and Payment
Our fees for services will be agreed with you before we start any work. You can see our general pricing on our website. We'll send you an invoice, and we expect payment within 30 days. If you're having trouble paying, please talk to us as soon as possible. We accept bank transfers and other common payment methods.
Limits on Our Responsibility
We do our very best to give you good, sound advice. However, we can't be held responsible for any direct or indirect losses that happen because of investment choices you make based on our advice, or from market conditions outside of our control. Our advice is based on the information you provide, and market conditions at the time. We're here to guide, not to guarantee the future.
Keeping Things Private
Your privacy is important to us. We handle your personal and financial information with care, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We won't share your details with anyone unless it's necessary to provide our service, or if the law tells us to. You can read all the specifics in our Privacy Policy.
Cancelling Our Services
If you need to stop our services, just let us know. Depending on how far along we are, we might charge for work already done. We'll always be fair about this. We can also end our services if you don't stick to these terms, or if we can no longer properly help you.
Changes to These Terms
Things change, and so might these terms. We might update them from time to time. If we make any big changes, we'll put the new version on our website and update the 'Last Updated' date at the top. It's a good idea to check back now and then to see what's what.
The Law That Applies
These Terms and any disagreements that come up from them will be sorted out under English law. If there are any big disputes, they'll be handled by the courts here in England.
